For the record, it was BNRToast that first identified Will Rogers, not me.

Starting around 4:15, the segment with Billy Jones and Ernest Hare (aka The Happiness Boys) seems to be from 'Taystee Breadwinners', as the name of the sponsor, Taystee Bread, is worked into Jones & Hare's theme song 'How Do You Do?' (...if you've enjoyed our little show, buy Taystee Bread and then we'll know...).

Twelve episodes of Taystee Breadwinners can be found on this website (with some site advertising, but not too offensive):

Around 6:15 there is a segment from a boxing match between Gene Tunney and Jack Dempsey; this is the infamous 'Long Count' bout. Dempsey knocked Tunney to the canvas in the seventh round, but according to the rules, the referee couldn't begin the count until Dempsey retreated to a neutral corner. This meant that the referee's count didn't start until Tunney had been on the canvas for about five seconds, and he was able to rest for fourteen seconds rather than the usual nine seconds.

The debate that continues to this day, almost a century later, is whether Tunney could have gotten up after only nine seconds on the canvas. Because of the five-second delay, at ten seconds after the knockdown, the referee's count was only at five. At that point, Tunney was still looking a little dazed, but starting to come out of it.

One thing that the narrator gets wrong is stating that the rematch was two years after the original bout. In fact, it was one day shy of one year later, on September 25, 1927.

Beyond that, I don't know much that the narrator doesn't tell us.

Thanks again for your uploads. If I can make a suggestion, you should ask the admins to move your two items into the 'Old Time Radio' collection; such a request has to come from the creator of the item. If you make a forum post titled 'Please Move' with links to the pages, and identify the collection you want them moved to, they'll take care of it.

Also, I notice that you have your latest item uploaded twice. If you want to delete one of them, just to keep your collection neat and tidy, the admins can take care of that, too.

Mr. Wilson:

Thanks ever so much for your corrections and information. Also too, I appreciate the feedback regarding adding my files to the old-time radio collection and the deletion of one of my items. I will take care of that. I am new to Internet Archive, as well as a person who is totally blind, and the process for uploading files isn't the most accessible for a screen reader. It works, but is somewhat confusing.
